Jesus said, "Let them alone: They be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch." (Matthew 15:14, Luke 6:39)
What is the ditch Jesus was referring to?

Jesus said, "And I also say unto thee, that thou are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." (Matthew 16:18) 
What are the gates of hell Jesus was referring to?

Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me: In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."

What are the mansions Jesus was referring to?

Jesus taught his disciples by parables. A parable is a natural illustration that has a spiritual meaning. (ie. the parable of the four grounds, the parable of the mustard seed, etc.)
